| Introduction | For the past 8 years I worked at Thurgood Marshall Academy as the Technology and Media teacher and also the Director of Portfolio curriculum and implementation. As an auxiliary (non-testing teacher) I didn't need any certification. My wife Ingrid and I moved back to our home state of WA in the summer of 2016 and I am working on my MAT and certification to teach high school history and social studies. My passions in the classroom are Socratic Seminar, debate and critical analysis of past and current events. I believe these strategies enable youth to hone a critical and discerning lens on the world which in turn creates more informed and passionate citizens. |
