About me

Location Augusta, Western Wisconsin, United States
Introduction I have this little Steiff Rabbit with most of its mohair fur worn off. That is me...not perfect, a little worn, but plenty loved. I am a gatherer, and I also pay attention to details. If you can describe something as "sweet" or "charming" -- I likely will need to adopt it. I believe in wonder, and I pray I will always feel hopeful at the end of the day. Sunshine on my shoulder will sometimes make me cry and barefeet will always make me smile.
Interests antiques, vintage finds, old homes, antiquing adventures, cats, goats, decorating, living a responsible life, politics, organizing, kindness, gardening, everything about my Ian, peace...
Favorite Movies Michael Clayton, The Notebook, The Blindside, Notting Hill, Michael, I don't usually take the time to watch a movie...so my choices are limited.
Favorite Music I have fallen in love with country music in recent years -- especially fond of, Sugarland, Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, -- also will always turn to, James Taylor, John Denver, Rob Thomas, Carly Simon, and movie soundtracks from, Michael, and, Saturday Night Fever, ....as well as the music from the old T.V. shows, Touched by an Angel, and, Dawson Creek, (great variety)!
Favorite Books Oh my -- time for reading...wish I did more. My very favorite book is, Dreams From Home, by, Tracy Porter. I stumbled upon it at Borders one year with a gift certificate in my hand - and later discovered that Tracy was living in Wisconsin on a farm (she just moved to California). This book is home decorating with a philosophical slant -- and oh such sweet writing...the story of the peacock made me cry. I wrote the author to thank her for this book -- Tracy sent me the sweetest thank you back with a box of her products. When we bought our farm, she sent a home warming gift -- her vase called "meadow". I now also own one of her original collages -- from her auction!
