Introduction Substance D is a harmful compound of uncertain composition and origin. Limited analyses of chemical make-up suggest that its ingredients may include, but are not limited to, radium, duck-billed platypus venom, lunar dust and the green slime that lives in the back of cheap fridges. Unethical researchers in Stalinist East Germany toyed with the notion of using Substance D for defence purposes, but eventually came to the conclusion that it was far too unpredictable. A 1980 trial release of the toxin in East Anglia completely deformed the minds of the entire population and to this day many people in the area are notorious for talking, acting and driving like unspeakable pricks.
