| Occupation | To land a real job hosting a travel show featuring whiskies of the world on the Travel Channel. I am sure an untapped audience awaits such a program! (Total pipe dream, I know!) |
| Location | Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada |
| Introduction | The aim of my blog is to provide you with independent whisky tasting notes or at the very least, tawdry amusement. Hopefully, my blog posts will aid your next planned whisky purchase. I am not on Facebook, Twitter or Youtube because I am too lazy to do those, far too labour intensive, social media endeavours. Writing whisky reviews is an eccentric hobby of mine. Pure and simple. Some people collect stamps, coins, play bridge, and do drawings in charcoal. Me? I spend my contemplative moments drafting quirky/stream of consciousness tasting notes. By the way, I do not accept free samples from distilleries. So, unlike some whisky bloggers and professional spirits critics, I can freely call it the way I taste it (you knew there was a downside to freedom of speech . . .). My promise to you: "On this site, you will not be subjected to the slick corporate marketing drivel and canned press releases of drinks companies that seemingly permeates every nook & cranny of the web. If the whisky tastes good, bad or somewhere in between, you will be so informed, in no uncertain terms." Questions? Comments? Invective? Post a comment or email yours truly at: jasondebly@gmail.com |
