| Introduction | I am a sociologist researching and teaching in the fields of Urban Studies and Social Anthropology. I am currently focusing on the urban and regional governance of stigmatized and marginalized periphery areas in Europe and beyond. In spring 2007 I set up this blog as I began my doctoral ethnography of urban marginality affecting a number of Romani families and individuals in Florence, Pescara (Italy) and Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
