| Introduction | About 18 months ago, I took my first foray into the world of sugar art and cake decorating. What started as just a bit of fun soon became an obsession and www.cupcakesforpoppy.com.au was born. More recently, I have also taken a step into teaching with Couture Cake Classes. Previously from a corporate environment, I have recently taken the plunge and resigned from my job to pursue my own business and to spend more time with my daughter, Poppy. This blog is to share my journey, the cakes, the recipes, the moments that make you laugh out loud but most of all to hopefully inspire you to drag out the baking tins, the sewing machine, the paints, whatever it is that makes you feel alive and express your creativity. Cake decorating has awoken a creativity inside me that had long been hidden and given me a way to express myself. I hope that something, somewhere will inspire you to bake or create and express that something inside of you.
