| Introduction | Guy Aoki is a longtime music critic who's written for the Los Angeles Times, Goldmine, Creem, BAM, and Music Connection. A songwriter, he worked as a researcher and mix producer on "American Top 40 with Casey Kasem" in the mid '80s and wrote Dick Clark's syndicated "Countdown America" and "U.S. Music Survey" radio shows from 1989 to 2005. Since 1992, he's penned the "Into the Next Stage" media column for the Rafu Shimpo newspaper. Aoki's also been an avid comic book collector since 1972. |
