Occupation I am currently a PhD candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia, US)
Location Richmond, Virginia, United States
Introduction I graduated in Art History from the University of Córdoba (Spain). After that, I completed a MA in Cultural Heritage Studies at University College London, and, thanks to the support of a Fulbright Scholarship, a MA in Museum Studies at New York University. During my stays in London and New York I had the opportunity to collaborate with prestigious institutions, such as The British Museum, English Heritage, and The Frick Collection, in various capacities (audience researcher, assistant to the registrar, docent, etc.). In 2011 I moved to Richmond, Virginia, in order to pursue a doctorate in Art History. I am currently writing my dissertation, a historic-artistic study of a former Jesuit college located in the Mexican city of Oaxaca, which was active between 1579 and 1767, and which still remains extant. I expect to graduate in the Fall of 2015 and, hopefully, work in a museum as a curator of a collection of Colonial Latin American Art.
Interests Art Museums, Education, Colonial Latin America, the Jesuit Patronage of the Arts
