| Introduction | I am 39 years old and live in a place called Peterborough with my wonderful Wife and 6 year old Daughter. I started experimenting with digital photography some years ago in its infancy and then went of the boil with it. I returned to it September 2009 when I purchased a D90 and consequently signed up for a FLICKr account. I can honestly say I am hooked and now have a stream of around 400 images, over 50,000 views and many good online friends and contacts that have helped me grow. I started photography thinking I would be in to landscapes and ended up being into, what I call creative macro shots of flora and portraits, a more recent venture. So why start a Blog? FLICKr is great for quick communication and of course uploading the images. What it doesn't allow you to do very well is communicate on a deeper level the process of photography itself. Having looked around at others, I find it inspiring and insightful to be able to read, in detail, what is behind an individuals ideas, concepts and compositions.
