Introduction	I have two adorable and busy kids (ages 2 and 4) and a day job (as a soap opera writer). In my spare time, I do my "serious" work of writing for kids. In my spare spare time, I have been known to do school visits to my husband's sixth grade reading classes and to teach English Comp. 101 at the local community college, which I love. I have an MFA from Vermont College, where I had a tremendous experience and met lots of wonderful writers. The writing life can be very isolating, and I am very shy by nature, so I love having an online community of writer friends.
