| Introduction | I come to Kinkaid from The School at St. George Place Elementary in Houston ISD. I was a kindergarten teacher for four years and have been teaching art for six years combined. I am a state-certified art educator with a B.A. in Art History, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Houston. I am also a graduate of HISD’s prestigious fine arts high school, High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). I am currently pursuing my Master of Education degree with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas A & M University, College Station. I am a member of: Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Student Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi Educators’ Honor Society, the Texas Art Educators Association (TAEA), and the National Art Education Association (NAEA). I served as adjunct faculty at the Museum of Fine Arts’ Glassell Junior School for four years. I was honored to have been nominated School at St. George Place’s Teacher of the Year in 2009. I am dedicated to helping my students do their best and achieve great things! |
