Introduction My life right now is all about my family. I have a husband, an adorable step-son, Mr. T and 3 girls - KK, Ry and Emi. It's been a long road to this place of contentment - but I have been so blessed!

My Perspective as a Mom:
I am a God fearing, people loving, typically cheerful, kid cuddling, no nonsense kind of mom. I love my husband, my babies, my church, and my country... but most of all, I love my Lord.

I believe a firm hand with a soft heart is the way to go with discipline. Bottom line, children are exactly that... we can't expect them to behave like adults, but we can (and I do) require that they act like well-behaved children. Lets face it, we've all had those red-faced-I'm-gonna-pinch-your-little-head-off-if-you-don't-quit-squawling moments. Parenting isn't perfect, it's human... and it takes a lot of love. I feel it's important to break the will of the child without breaking their spirit and I LOVE Dr. James Dobson's book "The New Strong Willed Child" for that reason.
Interests Music, Writing, Teaching, People: specifically, anyone who needs a good ear, anyone who loves music as much as I do, anyone who will laugh with you and not at you, anyone who will be a friend.
Favorite Movies My husband has cornered the market on this part of my life. We typically watch whatever he wants to see. Honorable mentions - Captain America - The Winter Soldier, LOVED taking the kids to see Madagascar 2 (or "Move it move it!" as KK calls it), Facing the Giants would probably top my list.
Favorite Music Love most of Sheryl Crow's music - hate her political views. As of late the dial has been stuck on contemporary christian or the 80's.
Favorite Books The Bible, The New Strong Willed Child, The Real Poop on Motherhood, How to Win Friends and Influence People, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway

Whoops! Your tongue is now a magnet. Whatever will you use for silverware?

PLASTIC THROW AWAYS, BABY!!! Isn't that what everyone uses? Oh, wait... that's not very green. Well CRAP! Oh, no, no, no! I don't mean I'll use crap. Hmmm.... chop sticks??? Those are a sustainable resource, right? :-)
