| Introduction | I had an idea, and as a result of a bit of a mid-life crisis, I made it happen. Well, actually, I’m still making it happen. My idea was to reinvent camouflage. People raise a quizzical eyebrow, but if you have an idea – no matter how obvious it might seem to you, or however daft to others – and you can’t seem to shake it off, that is your calling. Go for it. Don’t listen to the doubters! Through a combination of luck, a support network and sheer bloody-mindedness, I created a business – Hyde Definition Ltd (http://www.hydedefinition.com) – selling bespoke camouflage designs to military and commercial manufacturers worldwide. We’ve just received an innovation award and mentoring from Norfolk Knowledge, a business networking and support group.
