Introduction I started flying in 1987. I now have 4000 hours of flight time, with over 1800 hours of multi-engine time (it helps to own a twin). I have given more than 4000 hours of dual instruction, including 2500 hours of sim instruction. That sounds odd but sim time does not count as flight time. In March of 2003 I was designated a Master Flight Instructor. This designation was originally made only by NAFI, the National Association of Flight Instructors, and is recognized by FAA. It must be renewed every two years, and in March of 2005 my Master designation was renewed. It was renewed again in March of 2007. In 2009 I renewed my Master Instructor designation through Master Instructors, LLC. I am proud to have held the designation of Master Instructor continuously since 2003. Also in 2007 I was selected Minnesota Flight Instructor of the Year. I was formerly chief flight instructor of Knowlton Flight Instruction Services, but resigned in the spring of 2006 in order to start Sim Flite Minnesota.
