| Introduction | Our story begins in 1999 when Chris and Jeanette met at a Single Adult dance on New Year's Eve. A month later we went on our first date and the rest is history! Our family grew with the birth of Kayla in 2000. Two weeks after Kayla was born, the family packed up and moved across the US to Georgia where we were stationed in the Army. While we were in Georgia, our family was met with new experiences and obstacles. Chris was deployed to Kuwait when Jeanette was 5 1/2 months pregnant with Austin. We were told that he would be able to come home for Austin's birth, unless we went to war. As it turned out, the worse case scenario happened. When Austin was born, Chris was sitting on the Iraqi border waiting for the call to begin the invasion. To our many thanks, Chris returned home safely and we left the Army so Chris could go to school. After finishing school, Chris once again went back into the Army where he is currently serving. Our family is very blessed, and we savor and enjoy every moment we have together. |
