About Me

I eat. I think. Sometimes I also read, play, write, travel, make pottery, raise animals and food plants, crack jokes with my inhouse genius--my husband ECG, and teach English to teenagers. It's a pretty good life. Although I live in a condominium, thanks to friends' generous gift of space, I have a vegetable plot in their backyard. Most of my recipes are built on either produce from this garden or local produce from the farmers' markets or other friends' yards. I encourage those of you who'd like to try my recipes at home to use what you can find locally and adapt as necessary; you just might be amazed at what is growing right under your nose.
