| Introduction | Greg Klymkiw has seen over 30,000 movies. For 13 years, as a Senior Creative Consultant at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre (CFC) he nurtured the next generation of Canada's filmmakers – teaching and mentoring on cinematic storytelling. At the CFC he has been a substantial creative influence on over 50 short dramatic films, 100s of production exercises and 12 feature films including NURSE FIGHTER BOY, THE DARK HOURS and 19 MONTHS. He assists, mentors and collaborates with CFC alumni in screenwriting, screenplay development, casting, production, post-production, promotion and career management. He has been a rep cinema programmer, a film buyer for small town theatres and as the Director of Distribution and Marketing for The Winnipeg Film Group he developed the campaign that created an international cult sensation out of Guy Maddin's TALES FROM THE GIMLI HOSPITAL. He has produced and/or written numerous movies including Guy Maddin's ARCHANGEL & CAREFUL and Cynthia Roberts's THE LAST SUPPER (1995 Best Feature Film Teddy Award at the Berlin International Film Festival). He is currently co-writing several screenplays and a text book on screenwriting. |
