Introduction We jointly spent several years teaching and doing research on barley nutrition. We have continuted to promote barley for food to individuals and the food industry. We are C.W. (Walt) Newman, PhD, a fellow of the American Society of Animal Science and Rosemary K. Newman, PhD., RD, LN, a practicing registered dietitiean and diabetes educator. In 2008, we published a technical book about barley, "Barley for Food and Health, Science, Technology and Products", Wiley-Blackwell publishers.
