| Introduction | Dr. Jeff Pollard is a Senior Consultant with SIGMA Threat Management Associates. He is a Board Certified Psychologist with over 25 years experience directing counseling and health centers in higher education and has worked toward the reduction and prevention of violence through out his career. Dr. Pollard has provided in-depth threat assessment training to universities nationally and has presented on threat assessment to organizations including American Board of Professional Psychology, the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, and the Association of University and College Counseling Centers. He has consulted to congress on numerous occasions and was invited by the White House to consult on campus substance abuse prevention. Dr. Pollard co-edited Campus Violence, Kinds Causes and Cures, worked with the Ohio Department of Human Services, Domestic Violence Advisory Committee, and is a founding member of George Mason University’s threat assessment team.
