Jennifer D. Medina
About Me
Jennifer D. Medina has worked in the HIV/AIDS field for the last ten years. She started her professional career at the AIDS Center of Queens County (ACQC) as an intern with the Director of Development. It was during this internship that she grew to love the HIV/AIDS community and began focusing her career in social services and public health. After receiving double Bachelor’s Degrees in Sociology and Art History from Queens College in 2000, Jennifer became a COBRA case manager at ACQC, and learned skills essential to a career in HIV advocacy and prevention. Ms. Medina went on to earn her Masters Degree in Public Health from Hunter College in 2004 and was promoted to Assistant Director of the Health Education and Prevention Department. There, she oversaw the agency’s Street Smart, SISTA, and Counseling, Testing, and Referral Programs; as well as serving as interim Special Events Coordinator in 2006. She is currently the Director of Programs at Cable Positive.
