About Me

I'm the owner of PlayFair Toys and also a fairly "eclectic" scientist who spent the first twenty years of my career studying some of the earth's most extreme environments. I spent my summers, and sometimes winters, on mountaintops and in the Arctic. I love wild places.

The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?

I ran around barefoot most of my childhood, so honestly I don't remember. I can tell you that from doing this I have nice wide feet and well separated toes. I highly recommend life without shoes.
