Introduction | I'm pretty much the same as most fell runners, that is a fairly happy chappy who enjoy's life and being outdoors but with a minor screw loose. I am a very lucky person who also makes a living from working in the big out doors as well, wether thats in a random woodland or climbing trees in a country park. I live in the Staffordshire Moorlands on the edge of the Peak District; which is fantastic for my passion of running. I just walk out of my front door and within a few minutes of running I am up and across The Roaches and into the Peaks. As far as fell running goes I am a new face in the sport. A decade or so ago I was a competitve track runner but packed it all in due to work and family committments. It is only since March 2010 that I have started running again and taken to the mountains. I have however, even in this short space of time, set myself a goal of running the Paddy Buckley Route in Snowdonnia (the Welsh equivalent of the Bob Graham Round)in 2011. I am hopefully aiming to achieve this in June of that year. Well its something to do isnt it?... PS Went and did the Paddy so looks like I'm hunting for the next challenge on the fells..... |
