| Introduction | Hi, thanks for wanting to know more about me! My first memories of drawing are with my coveted BIG box of Crayola® crayons. I love to draw in pencil, pen or any medium on any type of paper. I painted in oils and acrylics in my teen years, then discovered watercolor in my early twenties. I learned how to use watercolor pencils in my later years, from renowned online artist, author, teacher, and nature journaler Cathy Johnson. My parents cultivated my lifelong love of nature in all its forms, so many of my creations are about the natural world. I started keeping a nature journal more regularly in the 2000’s. I share what I’ve learned in classes and workshops – I’ve taught nature journaling and drawing classes, and how to use specific media such as watercolor and watercolor pencil. I also love to write, so you’ll see a variety of posts here on all sorts of topics, although they’re all nature- and art-related in some way. Happy reading! |
