Formal bio: Since joining Phenix & Phenix in 2006, Amy Currie has successfully managed dozens of national publicity campaigns, securing media bookings for a broad spectrum of subject matters, from financial topics to science fiction. Major media hits include a recent placement in Money magazine; top national radio slots on “The Thom Hartmann Show,” “The Mancow Show,” and “The Young Turks”; and widely syndicated articles in the Dallas Morning News, the Christian Science Monitor and Dow Jones’ Marketwatch. Currie holds a B.A. in radio-television-film and a B.S. in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. During her time at the university, Currie served on both the commercial production and news production teams at Austin’s CBS affiliate, KEYE-TV, and also served as an advertisement coordinator for Cinematexas International Short Film Festival.
