Introduction Since I can remember, I’ve had entire worlds of characters going on adventures in my head while I do the boring tasks of real life. People would say I had fallen into the “Mad-zone” when I became unresponsive, something teachers in school never really cared for. It didn’t take me long to realize that if I wrote these adventures down, I could keep coming back to them again and again, adding to them, changing things. So that’s what I did. I was first published at age seven, in the Worcester Sunday Telegram, earning one whole dollar. Since then, I've been writing non-stop, taking readers a bit left of the ordinary: meeting a fairy who lives in a cranky old man’s attic, being transported to another world, or noticing the strange things happening in what people think is just their mundane old world. My stories have appeared in Circle Magazine and The Wheel, and have received honorable mentions and semi-finalist standings in contests. I’m currently working on a novel concerning a young woman trying to rescue a visciously ugly creature from the clutches of a devastatingly handsome king. There’s also a dragon, and maybe a few things your mom wouldn’t want you reading about.

Why does the color blue mean raspberry-flavored?

Well, there are both red raspberries and "black" raspberries, which are more of a purple color. They knew that raspberries by nature are very sensitive, so they didn't want to leave either of them out. So they came up with blue, because it is the difference between red and purple.
