| Introduction | I completed a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Physics in 1991 and a Ph.D. in 'Non-linear optical characterisation of nickel-dithiloene doped sol gel glasses' in 1995 at The University of Manchester, UK. In the following 17 years I have gained extensive experience in sales, marketing and communications at Motorola Semiconductors Ltd. and Freescale Semiconductors Ltd. I set up my own property development company, built a car and built my own home. Seeking a new challenge, I studied for a P.G.D.E.
