| Introduction | I am Wife to Dave. Mother and teacher to Molly, my un-medicated, hospital birth, Kendall, my planned home-birth turned hospital birth, and Emma our home birth baby. (Third times a charm!) My journey to midwifery, I could say,started with the pregnancy of my first child, although I think it really started when I was 18 months old being held by my father at the accidental home delivery of my brother Scott. Having been told the story since childhood, I am sure my "memories" of the event are only in my mind's eye because of this, but non- the-less, the seed was planted and has been growing for the last 43 years. |
