| Introduction | Matthew 10:29,31 "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Ephesians 2:13 "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ." Though I may be the 'least of these' in this life, a sparrow, I am of great value to my Father. The evidence of that value is the blood that was shed for me, that covers me and that ushered me into a relationship with God. As precious as that sacrifice was, that is how precious I am. And so the Crimson Sparrow is a symbol of my humility, His love, my value, His blood, and our Covenant of Life. |
| Interests | Writing, playing the guitar, singing at the top of my lungs, sleeping, hiking, camping, exploring the 12 Steps as an embodiment of the Wesleyan Holiness Tradition, blogging, and generally making a nuisance of myself. Kicking enemy ass has also recently been added to the list. |
| Favorite Music | I am presently addicted to Jackson Waters. I also adore the David Crowder Band. I want to be them when I grow up. |
| Favorite Books | I recently discovered that I am not the avid reader that I once considered myself to be. Still, I love The Prophet by Khalil Gibran and Living from the Heart Jesus Gave You by a host of doctors and psychologists. And I'm a huge fan of Eldredge. What can I say? CS Lewis has also captured my heart. Perhaps there is hope for me yet. |
