| Introduction | From a very young age, I've had a keen interest in science and technology, particularly in computers and programming. The analytical skills I developed growing up naturally made me skeptical, even though I didn't call myself a 'skeptic'. It wasn't until I met my lovely wife, an ardent skeptic herself, that I started to identify myself as one, too. It's been an ongoing learning experience ever since, applying critical thinking to a growing range of topics. When my mother died a few years ago, and Sharon helped me look critically at my own feelings to understand why I wasn't grieving, I even started applying skepticism to myself. |
