About me

Location Marshall County, Indiana
Introduction Named for the Potowatomie word for the Yellow River, Wythougan initially formed in 1999 for the preservation of the Garn House in Plymouth, Indiana. Since that time the organization has continued to inform and involve the public on other projects for the preservation of our heritage. Proud to be a county-wide organization, our Board of Directors is comprised of individuals representing all of Marshall County's ten townships. Wythougan is also a proud member of the Marshall County Historical Society and an affiliate member of Indiana Landmarks. As opportunities are presented for the preservation of our community heirlooms, as stewards we will stand ready to accept the challenge of protecting the enduring legacy of early Marshall County pioneers who shaped our communities into what they are today.
