About Me
I'm a wife and mom. My girls are now 23, 20, and 16. I am, and probably always will be, a maternity nurse. I've got the adductor type of Spasmodic Dysphonia. You may have heard that Scott Adams, Diane Rehm, and Robert Kennedy Jr. have a voice disorder? That's what I have. For a full year I couldn't talk, only whisper. That's when I started blogging. Now I get botox injected into my vocal cords every three months and my life is pretty much back to normal.
Interests
- I'm interested in a lot of things really but since I'm fairly flighty they change with the seasons. I'm a homebody
- but not crafty or into cooking. I love to travel but I love coming home to my own house. I love babies
- but I'm happy to give them back. I love dogs
- but mostly my own. I love reading
- but am not "well read". I love nature
- but I'm not particularly outdoor-sy. I care about the Earth and hope to live consciously but I'm also weak and love my hot baths
