About Me

I am the proud wife of my high school sweetheart & so blessed to be called "Mommy" by one of the most precious 3-year olds in the world. I love working pt as a pediatric SLP & working/playing with our son the rest of the time. After 3 miscarriages, we adopted Owen at 19 mos from Vladivostok, Russia (06/07). After 3 more miscarriages & 2 failed U.S. adoptions, we are thrilled to have been led to our daughter on a Waiting Child list in Korea! Our blog journals the Russian adoption process, the ups & downs of adopting a child with a complicated history, significant delays/differences, & attachment issues, & the joys and experiences we have as a family. Owen was our miracle, the child we always wanted, but moreso he is one of God's miracles, surviving a complicated premature birth in Russia, living a year and a half in an orphanage with little touch or attention, & and overcoming so much every day. It's been a hard journey at times but also a rewarding one. We love our little Owen more than anything else in the world & are so thankful he is our son and look forward to parenting a little sister!
