| Introduction | Born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario. Raised a Roman Catholic and thankful for an early introduction to Christianity. I moved to Alberta in my teens and have never left. I didn't appreciate God's presence in my life until I was in my mid twenties. It was then, as a rebellious young man, that I discovered a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It was a great surprise to me that I ended up in Bible College and eventually obtained a document that said I was a Reverend(still cracks me up)along with a license allowing me to officiate weddings. God can lead you where you never expected to be. After almost a decade of fulltime pastoring both church and para-church, plus inter-city missionary work with at-risk youth, I resigned from a fulltime ministry capacity in 2006. That decision didn't come lightly but after almost four years of battling this human rights case (now 7) in the midst of at-risk youth ministry it was taking a toll on me. I decided to take a sabbatical, minister part time and find myself with God again. Though my own two gifts from God, daughter 13 and son 15, are my #1 focus, I am still very passionate about and still involved with youth ministry. |
