About me

Gender Female
Introduction For 20 years, the task of surviving childhood sexual abuse dominated my life--then in 2008, I stepped over a threshold I didn't know existed. This blog shares my experience of life on the other side of surviving, an experience of happiness, wholeness, and facing life's challenges unburdened by the past. I want to offer a vision of hope for survivors, something more than just the endless road of difficulty that is well publicized in self-help books and media stories. Meditation and motherhood were and are foundational to the growth that thrust me “beyond surviving,” so my stories center there. With my fiancée, I have half-time custody of my 6.5yo son with very mild Asperger's syndrome (a lighter form of autism), who is unique and wonderful, difficult and inspiring.
