About Me
Ilona is an independent Illinois-based online writer and new media developer. Editor of the online journal PTSD Combat: Winning the War Within and author of the book Moving a Nation to Care: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and America's Returning Troops, her work reached its zenith in December 2007 with testimony before Congress at a House Veterans Affairs Committee hearing. Currently completing a Journalism degree at Northern Illinois University, in 2008 she received the Illinois Journalist of the Year Award - Student scholarship.
