Introduction I placed faith in Christ 32 yrs ago. I have been an Associate Pastor and led urban missions. I am a full time single dad for 18 years. I am currently a civil service employee in state government. 25 yrs ago, I experienced a season of fellowship led only by the Holy Spirit in a group of everyday followers of Jesus who simply loved Father, one another, and our neighbors. During that time, Father did many miracles, signs and wonders. People became new creations in Christ. For the next 25 years I found myself looking back on that as the only time I experienced life as Jesus taught and is demonstrated in the life of the Church in the New Testament. About a year ago God, began using those memories and IC experiences to draw me out of institutional religion into real relational life in Christ. Approximately 6 months ago, Father gave me an exit strategy then cleared the way of escaped. As of starting this blog at the end of October 2008 beginning by telling the story of my journey toward Religion and Institution Free Relationship with Jesus I had only been out of the Institutional Church and begun the process of getting it out of me for about 3 months.
Interests My family, Hanging with and serving others who are followers of Jesus Christ. Loving my neighbors in ways that they can touch, taste, and feel and that make a genuine contribution to their lives, fishing, cycling, staying fit, computers, reaching out to the poor/needy/& marginalized.
Favorite Movies Raiders of the Lost Ark all of them. Sin Eater. I enjoy most with lots of excitement and action. And those with stories about people who have overcome great odds or helped others to do so.
Favorite Music Worship, Country, bluegrass Cowboy... I enjoy lots of other styles. Especially those that my spirit is drawn closer to Christ by, because it is made by inspiration of ones relation with God regardless of style.
Favorite Books Bible (probably obvious to most) especially the Gospels, because they are the story of the example of the Christ the first Christian and what it means to be his disciple. Pagan Christianity by George Barna & Frank Viola, the Irresistible Kingdom by Chip Brogden...

All of the phone numbers have fallen out of your address book. Whose number do you look for first and why?

Why do many feel compelled to tell people they are Christians? Is it, because they know they do not give reason for anyone to come to that conclusion on their own? In the book Acts the first followers of Jesus were called "Christians" (meaning imitators of Christ) by those who did not believe, because they imitated His love toward His father and His neighbors so well.
