Introduction Mari Adkins grew up in the foothills of southeastern Kentucky. Her writing has appeared in the e-zine Whispers of a Stone Circle, the e-zines associated with the 3Sides Literary Agency, the Stories from the Red Light District anthology of short stories, and in various projects associated with Apex Publications. Midnight and Heir, and Elders are the first novels in the Harlan Vampire series; Mari is hard at work on the fourth novel in the series, Daybreak. Mari is a member of the Toasted Cheese online writing community and is an Editor for Apex Science Fiction & Horror Digest magazine.
