| Introduction | Barberry Hill Farm is a family farm established in 1909. We grow cut flowers, fruits, and vegetables, specializing in varieties of heirloom tomatoes and hard to find vegetables. We also raise sheep, dairy cows, a variety of poultry from which orders for eggs and meat can be arranged. We practice sustainable growing techniques using leaf mulch and do not use pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. Our farm stand is located on US 1 in Madison, Connecticut. We open the season around May 1 for plant sales, seeds, compost and farm loam to help your garden grow. All season we feature a variety of fresh vegetables and flowers, and close around Halloween after our pumpkins and fall displays are done. We do open for a few weeks after thanksgiving for sales of handmade Christmas decorations. We offer a seasonal farm share, sponsor educational agricultural classes and host weddings/events here at the farm. For more information, contact Kelly at kelly@barberryhillfarm.com |
