Gender Male

Occupation Physician
Location Champion City, The Planet Trafamador, Canada
Introduction I do anaesthesia and chronic pain management each half time. I am a committed long time progressive, sometimes called a bleeding heart liberal. I like to cycle, ski, read and I play (badly) the saxophone. I read a lot of history. I wish more of our leaders did. This is supposed to be anonymous but if you figure out who I am and I pissed you off sorry (or not). Nothing in this blog should be interpreted as serious medical advice.
Interests Progessive politics, healthcare, sports, music
Favorite Movies My taste ranges from foreign art house films to Hollywood blockbusters. The recent bankruptcy of Blockbuster in Canada after driving all small video stores out of business has now forced me to actually go out for movies or watch the meagre selection available on Canadian Netflix.
Favorite Music Blues, Classic (pre-1980) rock, Classical (pre-1800) music, Bluegrass
Favorite Books I have read and enjoyed almost everything Mordecai Richler, John Mortimer, Kurt Vonnegut and Graham Greene have written. I recently discovered John LeCarre who too my detriment I never read when I was younger.

If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
