About Me

Compost Happens consists of general posts: family, garden, adventures in raising a college student and a disabled teenager and three pet rabbits. A Mother’s Garden of Verses is a place to share my poetry, with most poems related to the general posts on Compost Happens. You’ll find links between the two sites. I also contribute to Mid-Century Modern Moms, a blog by moms with older children, teens and college age. I am largely powered by caffeine – hence, Groundskeeper. My goal is that between weeding and blogging and sipping from my collection of mugs I will let off enough steam to deal with the emotional wear and tear of the recent past and move on with a stronger and better future. You get to ride the big roller coaster three times in a row. What will keep your dad from taking a bite out of your candy apple?

I told him to take good care of my pet worm. (tee-hee)
