I'm a stay-at-home mom who retired from a much-hated social work career to stay home with my children. I love Jesus, my husband and 2 girls more than life itself, and used to love old houses until an old blue one almost got the best of us! Four years and lots of blood, sweat, and tears later, its still a work-in-progress.... and we're still hanging in there. Check out my blog to follow along with our progress!

• Goofy movies with happy endings that require very little IQ: Thirteen Going on Thirty. Sweet Home Alabama. Something About Mary. *NO* Academy Award Winners
• no drama or violence
• and NO movies that require intelligent thought...movies should be purely for 'escape.'

Favorite Music

• Depends on the mood. My ipod is full of music to run by and I would never post that playlist on here. ;) At home
• its praise and worship on the stereo at all times; I especially love CDs of classic hymns done by new artists (Third Day etc). In the car
• kid-style Bible music
• or maybe harmless 80s music or country
• but no drinkin' or cheatin' songs when they are listening. But when the kids aren't around I have a secret love for classic rock...U2. Aerosmith. Def Leppard. Ted Nugent. ACDC.

• My favorite authors are Randy Alcorn
• Frank Peretti
• Michael Pearl
• John Grisham
• and a couple of suspense authors who write CLEAN story lines. I always keep my Bible

• and Kathy Keville's herb book on my nightstand at all times
• plus what I'm in the middle of at the moment. Currently
• I'm reading Five Conversations you must have with Your Daughter and a book about Fasting.
