| Introduction | I'm Peg Cherre, a jewelry artist, weaver, & nature lover. I live in the sticks of western New York and love it here. I need only walk out my front door to be surrounded by trees, flowers, ferns, and more. The sound of the creek, the rustle of leaves – these renew my spirit, refresh my energy, and encourage me to improve my life, my health, and the health of the planet. Surrounded by this natural beauty, I am inspired to create more things of beauty – the jewelry I make and sell as Second Wind Jewelry. My jewelry includes a variety of gemstones and precious metals, and I combine them using both coordinating and contrasting colors, patterns and textures. I consider their looks, their feel, and their healing properties, focusing on what will help bring my customers the energies they’re seeking. I’m not an expert at healing with gemstones, but it’s an area of great interest. When I get new stones, I often have to wait for them to speak to me before I’m ready to turn them into talismans or jewelry. I strive to balance my multiple interests, from personal adornment to environmental consiousness, playfulness to serious work. |
