| Introduction | FireFlies Restaurant and Bar is located at 1501 Mt. Vernon Ave in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, VA. FireFlies opened as a full service restaurant in the fall of 2002. During the spring of 2008 major remodeling was done on the inside of the building that included a cozy stage in the front window that can be seen from the street and a large bar expansion that focused on showcasing American Microbrews. Most nights of the week you can find local artist or touring bands taking the stage at 8pm. FireFlies is a terrific dining spot for grabbing a hand tossed thin and chewy crust pizza or one of our famous burgers on a homemade bun.
