About Me

Silver City, New Mexico. I have a B.A. in music, and a law degree from Saint Mary's University Law School, SA, Texas. I am a full-time working musician. During the day, I can usually be found in our studio working on finishing up our first CD. After working hours, (and to pay the bills), I am a mixed media artist. Because I would like to use this blog as a vehicle for posting art tidbits and tutorials, I will focus on the art part. My official bio: My first artistic endeavors began over ten years ago with brightly decorated wooden crosses embellished with embossed tinwork and has evolved today to include elaborate polymer clay mosaics, shrines and jewelry, and traditional Mexican tinwork. Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, her style has a Latin flair. Most pieces celebrate popular Latin American icons and celebrations, including Frida Kahlo, our lady of Guadalupe, and Dia de Los Muertos. Her choice of bright colors and embellishments are also indicative of that region. She has participated in juried art shows in the Southwest. She also shows her work in galleries and shops throughout Texas, Arizona and New Mexico.
