| Introduction | A young soprano writing about the path we travel on our way to technical and artistic accomplishment. I began this blog a year or so and stopped writing when I moved to Australia for a period. I am returning to it with a new idea for inspiration encouraged by mezzo-soprano Arlene Rolph's 'The Singing Entrepreneur'. I hope to write about my experiences as a young singer working vocally whilst making the first steps towards a career as a vocal artist. How to make your own opportunities, learning to build and maintain contacts, and how to keep confidence when treading an unconventional path. An exploration of my continuing development as a young artist and hope that in sharing it I perhaps encounter someone else whom my writing touches, or strikes a chord with, or perhaps even helps someone in a similar situation.
