About me

Location Irvine, CA
Introduction I am a chemistry graduate student in the Mukamel and Andricioaei groups at UCI. My research interests are in using theoretical techniques to describe the motion proteins that respond to light. This broad class of proteins is vital to understand processes such as vision and photosynthesis. When a protein responds to light, it might take seconds but critical events in this process take less than a billionth of a second and we are interested in developing theoretical techniques to help make a molecular movie of what happens to these proteins after they are exposed to light.
