Interests	Since June 2005, I am a PhD student in the Department of Civil Engineering at Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering (well known as COPPE), part of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I am working on a data structure for storing triangulations based on an Art Gallery theorem. My advisers are Prof. Fernando L. B. Ribeiro and Prof. Fábio Protti. I have been awarded a scholarship from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). From May to October 2008, I was in France as a PhD intern in the GEOMETRICA research group at INRIA Sophia Antipolis, under the supervision of Prof. Sylvain Pion. I worked on the parallelization of an algorithm for constructing three-dimensional Delaunay triangulations. The code was developed in cooperation with Johannes Singler and David L. Millman, using the Computational Geometry Algorithms Library (CGAL).
