About Me

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and now live in Brooklyn, NY. I have a B.A. in English--Creative Writing from the University of Southern California (with minors in Gender Studies and Spanish, and about two years of coursework in "filmic writing" [scare quotes 'cause major name no longer in use, SADLY]), and an MFA in Poetry from Columbia College Chicago. In Fall 2009 I started working on a PhD in Literatures in English at Rutgers University. With Brandi Homan and Hanna Andrews, I'm a founding editor of the feminist poetry press Switchback Books. Greying ghost press published my chapbook, Inside a Red Corvette: A 90s Mix Tape, in 2009, and in March 2010 Kore Press will publish my first full-length collection of poems, LA Liminal.
