Introduction | Hello all and thanks for coming, the name is Carolyn. What you will find here are book reviews, children's to adult, cover discussions, author interviews, occasional giveaways and any other book related what-not I decide to post. I don't have set genres I typically read, but what I tend to avoid are mystery, chick-lit (if you show me a book cover that looks like femininity and sisterhood threw up on it I run for the hills), and books where romance is the main plot. I also don't really read inspirational books, hopeful yes, but I like my stories nice and tragic. When the mood strikes me I will also read a semi-popular book that has tons of awful reviews... why? Some would say I'm a masochist but I also want to challenge the book to impress me and rise above its awful reviews. This usually never happens. |
