About Me

I was born here in Bexley and lived in St Michaels ward to just after leaving school. As a photographer I got to travel and meet and photograph some very famous people. In 1993 I moved back to Welling and got involved in voluntary work in the local community, in particular with the Welling Town Partnership (the town centre community forum). The only time I was involved in politics was in 2002 when one of the main parties asked me to stand for this ward. To be considered worthy to be asked was a proud moment for me and I actually came within 87 votes of being elected. A unique experience that I would recommend. In my 54 years I have done many things I am proud of, especially my recent work in the local community. In 2005 my proudest moment came when I was introduced to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth when she came to Bexley. Today I keenly promote Civic Pride and it's one of the reasons for starting this site.
